New festival location, reversed parade route, superstar lineup, and a celebration of community, culture, and Town Rainbow Pride.
OAKLAND, CA — Mark your calendars — Oakland Pride 2025 is pulling out all the stops for its 15th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This year brings a brand-new festival location at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, directly in front of Oakland City Hall, and a reversed parade route kicking off at 22nd and Broadway.
From the streets to the stages, this year’s Pride is all about celebrating the heartbeat of the Bay — our people, our culture, and our unstoppable spirit.
The Oakland LGBTQI+ Community Center Main Stage will feature powerhouse performances from Martha Wash, CeCe Peniston, and Oakland’s own Kamaiyah.
The Latin Stage will shine with international icon Christian Chávez, while the brand-new Mighty Real House Music Stage — curated by the legendary David Harness — will keep the dance energy going all day long.
Oakland Pride is for the entire community, featuring:
The 2025 Parade will spotlight celebrities and community champions including W. Kamau Bell, Layshia Clarendon, and Patrik-Ian Polk, along with community heroes Tim Nguyen and Somos Familia Bay.
“This is more than a festival — it’s a movement,” says George Jeffery Smith III, President of Oakland Pride. “We’re here to celebrate 15 years of community, visibility, and love — and we’re just getting started.”
